Microblading is a semi-permanent brow tattoo performed with a small handheld tool, using a feather stroke technique to produce the appearance of fuller eyebrows or to enhance the natural features of the face. Microblading is a softer/more subtle cosmetic tattoo than some of older methods. Body tattoos use ink while cosmetic tattoo procedures involve pigments. These pigments are designed to gently fade over time. Fading is desired as it allows the artist to make changes to color and shape over the years as client’s natural coloration and facial changes occur
Two hours on average. During your appointment we will consult with you the entire time ensuring we are on the same page. Much of the time is spent measuring and drawing on a symmetrical set of brows and agreeing on your perfect shape and color. The actual procedure itself takes 30min to an hour. The touch-up appointment will take about an hour.
In order to ensure that the brows heal perfectly a minimum of two treatments are usually needed 4-6 weeks apart on average. This first touch-up is included as it gives us the ability to correct any areas that possibly faded or allows the client to make suggestions if they want adjustments with the shape or color.
The treatment is considered semi-permanent and will fade over time. Touch-ups are recommended every 1-2 years maintain shape, color, and detail. How often depends on a number of factors including:
- Skin type (oily skin fade faster)
- Pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster)
- Sun exposure (over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment)
- Use of daily anti-aging products e.g.- (Tretinoin (Retin-A) & Alpha Hydroxy). These products increase your cell turnover rate and will shorten the life of your cosmetic tattoo
We do all that we can to ensure that the process is as comfortable as possible. Before the Microblading begins, a topical anesthetic is applied to the area to minimize discomfort, followed by a liquid anesthetic during the procedure. Some clients may feel a slight discomfort, but it’s relatively pain free for most.
You must avoid working out for 14 days following your microblading appointment. Light exercising is allowed (minimal sweating), but you must clean the tattooed area with a tissue and pat dry as soon as you are done exercising. The salt in sweat will fade the pigment very quickly and give poor results.
As a precaution to avoid any complications, we do not perform cosmetic tattooing on pregnant women.
To ensure the highest quality of safety, all of our tools are one time use only. ALL blades, hand tools, wipes, and any other product used during the procedure are disposed of as biohazardous waste after each appointment, giving each client peace of mind.
Lip Blushing is fast becoming one of the most talked about permanent cosmetic trends in 2022. Lip Blushing is a trend that allows you to show off your natural beauty by creating the perfect amount of blush colour on your lips. It gives the effect that your lips are always perfectly defined without having to actually use makeup on your lips.
Lip blushing is a delicate cosmetic tattooing technique used to apply a blush of colour to your lips, and then the effect is a bit like lipstick, or more accurately, like a lip stain. This is also why it can be tricky: you need to apply just enough colour to add definition and make a difference, not to mention that when you have a lip blush, it can help prevent your lips from aging and give them a more defined, fuller appearance.
Lip blush can also be used to change the shape of the lips and these tretaments are often combined with other my cosmetic treatments for bows and eyeliner to create a more balanced looking face. This aesthetic treatment for your lips is the perfect way to improve the appearance of your face, giving you a more youthful and appealing look. Lip tattooing can also be done with a natural looking colour as well as with a bolder, more dramatic hue.
Lip blushing is designed to fade over time and will require boosting now and again to maintain a fresh apperance. The answer to this queation depends on many factors, including how much colour was implanted during the lip blushing, the skin and lifestyle of the client as well as long term care and the type of product your artist is using.
Some permanent cosmetics contain ingredients which are known to fade over time, but others use ingredients that won’t fade and will last much longer. For most clients the results will gradually fade over a period of 1-2 years but results can last a really long time if you want them to.
To make sure that your lips stay healthy and your lip blush looks great all the time, you must ensure that you keep your lips moisturised. You should use a lip balm frequently. If you want to avoid premature fading, then you should look for a lip balm that contains SPF, which means that it has sun protection also – make sure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients in your lip balm!
