PRP (PLATELET RICH PLASMA) AFTERCARE (pdf)
DownloadPlatelet-rich plasma, also known as autologous conditioned plasma, is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein derived from whole blood, centrifuged to remove red blood cells.
PRP treatments are effective for various concerns and can be administered in different ways:
PRP is a form of cosmetic injectable treatment that uses the client’s own platelet rich plasma. The plasma component contains stem cells and growth rich platelets. When injected back into the skin, it accelerates the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin to provide overall skin rejuvenation.
Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (or PRP hair loss rejuvenation) is a cosmetic treatment where unique growth factors and proteins are retrieved from your blood and then re-injected into the scalp to rejuvenate the skin and encourage hair growth in thinning hair.
The vampire facial, also known as microneedling with PRP, is a cosmetic procedure that involves drawing blood from your arm, separating platelets and applying them back onto your face after a session of microneedling.
This procedure has many benefits, including younger looking skin.

Firstly, a topical anaesthetic is applied to the area that will be treated. Secondly, our clinician will draw a small sample of blood. This is then spun in a centrifuge for approximately five minutes to separate the plasma from the other blood particles. Lastly, the platelet rich plasma is then reinjected back into the treatment area, stimulating collagen and elastin production.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
PRP has a number of benefits. The treatment can improve skin texture and tone, reduce fine lines and scarring, and stimulate collagen and skin cell production for a plumper, more radiant complexion.
WHO IS IT FOR?
PRP is great for anyone who is concerned by any areas of skin that are starting to lose elasticity and volume. It’s also a highly effective method for stimulating your body’s cells to produce new, healthy looking skin. It is extremely effective for that delicate under eye area where often clients notice signs of ageing first and where no laser can be used. It is also used to increase the structural integrity and health of the skin, particularly sun damaged skin.
PRP hair treatment is for all types of hair loss, thin hair and promoting hair growth after hair transplant. All treatment are performed by our experienced cosmetic practitioner.
The revolutionary PRP hair is the effective 100% natural hair growth treatment that using Platelet rich plasma (PRP) from patient own blood which contain essential growth factors to promote hair growth to inject into scalp. The result is proven from many research studies.
PRP contains special cells called Platelets and plasma, that can promote growth of the hair follicles by stimulating the cells in the micro-environment of the hair follicle and increase vascularity to hair root. The PRP stimulates inactive or newly implanted hair follicles into an active growth phase. The treatment works best for treating thinning hair, slowing or stopping the progression of hair loss and promoting hair growth after hair transplant.
PRP therapy typically consists of three treatments in a 4–6 week period, with maintenance treatments every 4–6 months.
WHO IS SUITABLE FOR THE PRP HAIR?
A vampire facial is a combination of microneedling and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Microneedling uses short, fine needles to puncture the skin. These needles range in size from .5 to 2.5 millimeters. Rest assured, the needles feel like tiny pinpricks and only go skin-deep. The pricks are used to “injure” the skin, prompting your skin to heal itself by producing elastin and collagen, and allowing the PRP to penetrate deeper.
Once the microneedling is completed, PRP is applied to your skin topically. PRP is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein produced from blood. PRP has a large concentration of growth factors, helping tissue to heal and repair, treating all types of skin issues.
What is the process?
Microneedling with PRP is administered in an office setting. The first step is the initial blood draw, which is relatively painless. Your blood is then placed in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and platelets from the red blood cells.
Before the microneedling portion of the treatment begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the face to manage any discomfort of the needling.
Once the numbing cream is active and the microneedling has been completed, the PRP is rubbed on the skin. The PRP should remain on the skin for the rest of the day to maximize results. Patients will notice dry, red, sensitive skin, much like a light sunburn for the first few days after treatment.
What are the benefits?
There are many benefits to the vampire facial, including boosting the turnover of skin cells, improving skin tone and texture. Microneedling with PRP will also reduce fine lines and signs of aging. This treatment can be especially helpful for those who suffered from acne and have visible acne scars or skin damage from prolonged exposure to the sun.
Yes, PRP is actually a very safe injectable treatment. This is because you are using your own natural elements without the addition of any foreign products.
